Yoel ben Shlomo – Light of the Prophets – Joshua 9:1-10:43

Yoel and I discuss the treaty made with the Gibeonites. Is Adoni-Zedek (the leader of the United Canaanite Movement) “in the order of Melchizedek”? Were there hail stones or meteorites? Helio-centricity Vs. Geo-centricity, did the sun really stand still? Also, what is the book of Jasher, and much more in this week’s Light of the Prophets!

    Very interesting discussion! . . . . Please could/would you give me the name of the book you were referring to – that analyzed words? i.e. you spoke of ‘hero’ as meaning also possibly meaning large of stature.

    Thank you,

    Hey Jono!

    Your mention of Geocentricity reminded me of a Lunar Sabbath website which became one of my favorites. One of the last articles on that website proclaimed the truth of Geocentricity. At the time I cringed thinking, “I really wish he wouldn’t undermine his credibility with an article like this.” Your mentioning it caused me to revisit the subject and I think I’m beginning to see the light! From what I’ve already read Copernicanism became the foot in the door toward undermining the Scriptures as absolute truth and has spread its web throughout the other categories of knowledge, i.e. the Physical Sciences; Natural Sciences; Social [and Behavioral] Sciences; Arts & Humanities; Religion. Our universities bought into it big time.

    I was wondering if you have any resources you could link me and anyone else to. If so could you post them please?

    Thanks, Ken

    G’day Ken,

    I know there some who subscribe to a geocentric perspective which I think is a valid and plausible possibility. However, if I had to do a study on our solar system I would certainly choose to do so from a heliocentric view – it really is so much easier to deal with. One is not necessarily more correct than the other, that is to say that they obviously both have the same outcome, but I think it is far to note that a heliocentric view seems far more orderly, at least in my mind, and we know that our Father is a God of order. So while I wouldn’t discredit somebody who keeps to a geocentric view I personally prefer to think according to a heliocentric model rather than the former. It is worthwhile doing a comparison of these models.

    Thanks Jono,

    I would agree with you, the heliocentric model would seem much more orderly if indeed ‘gravity’ is the main force operating in the solar system, galaxies and universe as a whole. But I am wondering ‘out loud’ so to speak, what if ‘gravity’ is not the main force operating in the universe as a whole? Have you ever heard of The Electric Universe theory? It is nothing short of fascinating and explains many space phenomenon beautifully, the electro-magnetic force being far stronger than gravity. It also connects many of the ancient drawings on stone with space born electro-magnetic plasma events that would have taken place in the naked eye view of the ancients, very interesting! I think you’d enjoy the 64 minute video produced by these men, men with PHd’s, the video is called ‘Thunderbolts of the Gods’. Hopefully concern won’t be raised if I post the link to the video even though it is obviously a rather pagan, polytheistic video. Honestly people you have to ‘chew the meat and spit out the bones’! The electrical model looks much more promising than does the gravitational model. Could the electric universe model hold answers that would then make the Geocentric theory more plausible than the heliocentric theory? I don’t know if the dots could be connected but I might look into it a little further. Here’s the link;

    I really find it interesting that Jewish tradition states the Yehoshua married Rahab(the formal harlot)..the scarlet cord and this verse below (combined with Yom Kippur tradition of Rabbinic tradition..scarlet cord turning white showing the sins were forgiven)
    Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
    She was saved and married Yehoshua!! WOW!
    VERY interesting…thanks for the info!
