could elohim also be considered to refer to those whom have been anointed and appointed by Yehovah to fulfill certain positions of leadership? Would then the title elohim be considered their separation – set apartness – from the majority? Like Yeshua has been called, anointed and appointed KING who will sit on Yehovah’s throne like Solomon and david did? Solomon was also given the reference Son of God and King who sits on Yehovah’s throne. Therefore – couldn’t “Son of God” be considered another title referrng to the type of position that person is to hold (son of god also referring to the level of personal interaction with Yehovah in that position). Just my opinion. Thank you for having these types of discussions which causes us to lay aside our preconceived ideas to hear what the original language and content speaks of. Daniel says
What do John 1:1,14 mean when they declare that Yeshua is the Word of God?”
The answer to this question is found by first understanding the reason why John wrote his gospel. We find his purpose clearly stated in John 20:30-31. “Many other signs therefore Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.” Once we understand that John’s purpose was to introduce the readers of his gospel to Jesus Christ, establishing Who Jesus is (God in the flesh) and what He did, all with the sole aim of leading them to embrace the saving work of Christ in faith, we will be better able to understand why John introduces Jesus as “The Word” in John 1:1.
By starting out his gospel stating, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,” John is introducing Jesus with a word or a term that both his Jewish and Gentile readers would have been familiar with. The Greek word translated “Word” in this passage is Logos, and it was common in both Greek philosophy and Jewish thought of that day. For example, in the Old Testament the “word” of God is often personified as an instrument for the execution of God’s will (Psalm 33:6; 107:20; 119:89; 147:15-18). So, for his Jewish readers, by introducing Jesus as the “Word,” John is in a sense pointing them back to the Old Testament where the Logos or “Word” of God is associated with the personification of God’s revelation. And in Greek philosophy, the term Logos was used to describe the intermediate agency by which God created material things and communicated with them. In the Greek worldview, the Logos was thought of as a bridge between the transcendent God and the material universe. Therefore, for his Greek readers the use of the term Logos would have likely brought forth the idea of a mediating principle between God and the world.
So, essentially, what John is doing by introducing Jesus as the Logos is drawing upon a familiar word and concept that both Jews and Gentiles of his day would have been familiar with and using that as the starting point from which He introduces them to Jesus Christ. But John goes beyond the familiar concept of Logos that his Jewish and Gentile readers would have had and presents Jesus Christ not as a mere mediating principle like the Greeks perceived, but as a personal being, fully divine, yet fully human. Also, Christ was not simply a personification of God’s revelation as the Jews thought, but was indeed God’s perfect revelation of Himself in the flesh, so much so that John would record Jesus’ own words to Philip: “Jesus said unto Him, ‘Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, “Show us the Father”?'” (John 14:9). By using the term Logos or “Word” in John 1:1, John is amplifying and applying a concept that was familiar with his audience and using that to introduce his readers to the true Logos of God in Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, fully God and yet fully man, who came to reveal God to man and redeem all who believe in Him from their sin.
Matthew 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
Matthew 12:2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
Matthew 12:3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
Matthew 12:4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
Matthew 12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
Matthew 12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
Matthew 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. [And why is He guiltless?]
Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
(If you have seen me you have seen the Father.)
22For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;
23but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,…
If you do not know by now you are not ment to know.
Yeshua Ha’mashiach is your stumbling block”
“Unless you people see signs and wonders,”
Yeshua told him, “you will never believe.”
To the Gentile God is foolishness”
So I pray 4U truth to be 2U.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
You have to be cursed not to see the simple truth. <——— remember your accusation towards others.
English translations by William Tyndale, Miles Coverdale, and John Rodgers, all translated the greek word 'logos' as 'it' and not as a 'him'. The Greek word 'logos' (word) meaning isthe spoken word or something said, including a thought. Therefore like the above translators I had to concede 'logos' is an "it," and not a person or some divine or semi-divine being or intermediary. In addition when I compare John 1 with the Tanach could not I find anywhere that Jesus spoke creation into existence or that Jesus was the word God spoke that caused creation to come into existence.
But what I did find when I compare 'logos' as an 'it' and not a 'him' is that it agreed perfectly with passages such as Genesis chapters1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, and 24, all of which begin, "And Elohim said." In y delusional mind that told me Yehovah spoke and BANG! It was done, no intermediary was involved in the process of creation.
By the word of Yehovah were the heavens made; and all the host by the breath of his mouth. . . For He spoke and it was; He commanded, and it stood fast.
Please Daniel instead of accusing people of being delusional try exploring some more options.
Aaron Wynn says
David: Hebrew has no “it”, so what an English translator chooses to use is irrelevant. Yeshua also called himself Wisdom, which is feminine. Ideas have no sex organs. People acting in the office of an idea are unaffected by the “gender” of the term used to label the idea.

Sorry to say that the Synoptic Gospels NEVER show Yeshua, if there has ever been a man by that name in history, since no Roman, Greek or Jewish Historian mention him, that Yeshua is half man half god, that is a pagan idea. The Gospel of John was first mentioned in 180 C.E. by Ireneus who mentions it by first time. Nobody knows who is the author of such Gospel, and according to the NT John was an illiterate fisherman, that is what we read in Acts 3, so John, the Galillean fisherman could not write a gospel full of gnostic doctrine and Christian theology. Jesus prayed to the Father, then JEWS are right when they pray to the Father and worship Him. Christians teach a Trinity that has no basis whatsoever on the Torah. So, let me stay with the Jews, they know more their Bible than Gentiles who creater religion that teaches against Torah.

If he existed at all, I would say he may have been a Jewish man with some ideas of his own.
Aramaic Bible in Plain English
There are also many other things that Yeshua did, which if they were to be written, each one, I suppose even the world would be insufficient for the books that would be written.
John 20:30
Yeshua performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.
Are you serious? Are you honestly expecting people to believe that certain acts have been carried out without any record of what they might have been and when they occurred?
David: Hebrew has no “it”, so what an English translator chooses to use is irrelevant. Yeshua also called himself Wisdom, which is feminine. Ideas have no sex organs. People acting in the office of an idea are unaffected by the “gender” of the term used to label the idea.
Is Yeshua your messiah and the Word of God made flesh.
One word please…Yes or No
