   Owen, Yehovah is the Saviour, there is none besides Him. The messiahs (king & high priest) will be part of that restoration.

   Regarding ‘Good Friday’ – supposedly the day Christ was crucified in Orthodoxy; I don’t know of a chart depicting the events, but, this is what I understand as to the way it happened according to the only prophecy given by Jesus himself.
   Matt. 12:40 For as Jonah was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of man be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth.

   Passover week —— Lord’s supper ——–Tuesday evening – start of Nisan 14 or Wednesday
   Betrayal ——– later same night – Nisan 14 or Wednesday
   Crucifixion ——— 3 pm – Nisan 14 or Wednesday
   Body taken down ———-Wednesday evening – start of Nisan 15
   Body prepared for burial ——— through the night of Nisan 15 approx. 12 hours
   Body laid in tomb ——— Thursday morning Nisan 16 ( Day one)
   Body in tomb ———- Thursday night ” ( Night one)
   Body in tomb ———- Friday ( Day two)
   Body in tomb ———- Friday night ( Night two)
   Body in tomb ———- Saturday ( Day three)
   Body in tomb ———- Saturday night ( Night three)
   Resurrection occurs at the ‘end’ of the 3rd. night – just before sunrise Sunday morning !

   The women saw how the body was laid in the tomb Thursday morning ( the annual High sabbath)
   They rested on that Sabbath (Thursday) and then bought the spices on Friday , the preparation day for the weekly Sabbath or Saturday. The women went to the tomb on Sunday as dawn was breaking and the tomb was empty.
   Comments:
   This fulffills Jesus personal prophecy of 3 days and 3 nights – rather than 3 nights and 3 days as many of the groups have it.
   Further,
   The Roman soldiers would hardly be ‘asleep’ at supper time on Saturday evening.
   The earthquake Sunday morning knocked them out.
   Jonah would hardly have been sound asleep in the hold of the ship at supper time.
   The crew probably rowed and struggled all night to save the ship and Jonah.
   He was cast into the sea at the ‘start of the day’ daybreak not sunset.
   The great fish vomited him up at the end of the 3rd night – in the morning, rather than when it was
   just getting dark at sunset.

   Thus – Jesus is resurrected at the start of the 1st. day of the week and ‘goes to work’ just as his Father did in Genesis the 1st. day. He does not spend Saturday night ‘waiting’ for sunrise, nor, does he ‘rest’ on Sunday to try to change it to the ‘Sabbath’.
   Actually he fulfills the prophecy in Mal. 4:2 But to you who fear my Name, the Sun of righteousness shall arise with ‘healing’ in his wings –
   There has been a great ‘aversion’ to anything to do with Sunday in the ‘churches’ of Pasadena and the off shoots of it. Keeping Pentecost on a Monday for a number of years is an historical example of that mindset in the WWCG.
   There is some legitimate question concerning the time a ‘day’ starts. In Judaism, it is assumed the day starts at sunset due to the ‘wording’.
   God called the ‘light’ day and the darkness ‘night’. Jesus said there are 12 hours in a ‘day’, which leaves 12 hours of ‘night’. As it is society starts the ‘day’ at midnight, which is a non starter ‘pun intended’.
   The Sabbath ‘Day’ begins in the morning. God said to keep the Sabbath ‘Day’ Holy not the night.
   Gen. 3:5 is translated to make it seem that the day begins in the evening, but, there was no punctuation in Hebrew. Some translations say “evening passed and morning came”–that, was the first ‘day’- when morning came !
   The Israelites gathered the manna during the day! On the sixth ‘day’ they gathered twice as much, as they would not be gathering it on the 7th., Sabbath Day.

   I agree Yehovah is the Saviour, that is what Yehoshua = Yeshua means 😀

   If you think about the restoration, restoration to that? See 1 Samuel 8:7 Yehovah was king over them, so restoration would mean that not a merely man, but Yehovah will be king.

   Jono and Annias- Yes – Yehovah is the only and ultimate savior. Isa. 43:3 and Isa. 43:11 Isa. 45:21. My question is , who then is the Messiah to come? Is it Yehovah almighty alone? Will Yehovah sit on the throne of David in Jerusalem? Yehovah is King of Kings, but is he not first of all Creator of the heavens, the earth, the seas and all that in them is? Will David rule Israel under Yehovah? Nehemia Gordon has said “when I see a man sitting on the throne of David in Israel, I will believe he is the Messiah”. Yehovah is not a man right? I am not trying to promote Jesus/Yeshua to the position of Messiah and i am not trying to ‘save’ anyone here. I am not an evangelical nor a Messianic Christian and not a Christian in the common understanding of that term.

    Jono – Zecharia 9: 9-17 Judah the bow and Ephraim the arrow. v-14 (nuclear) ? Chapter 10 – the restoration of Judah and Israel. Messiah ben Joseph is first on the battle field allied with Judah. The sages say that Messiah ben Joseph dies and Messiah ben David completes the restoration under Yehovah. Was Yeshua a forerunner of Messiah ben Joseph and they merge at the final coming of Messiah ben David?

    He was raised out of the Pit at night as he entered into the Pit in the Day.

    Note: First Fruits Postponed tell the Morning of 17th from the 16th because of Sabbath conflict – Moses Law says 16th, but was not done because the 16th was a weekly Sabbath based on the Solar Weekly Schedule since coming out of captivity from Babylon and then under the Greek and then Roman weekly work/trade calender. If they were Israel that came out of Egypt instead of out of Captivity of the North, then Festival of Unleavened Bread would have been the Weekly Sabbath (15) and First Fruits would have been on the (16th) according to the Law of Moses, but then according to Daniel, as the times were mixed, we have the prophetic providence of 3 days and 3 nights as seen with Jonah

    Yochannan, the writer of Luke has Jesus and the men on the road to Emmaus declaring Sunday to be the third day (Luke 24:21).

    YOU WELL KNOW – that the Trip to Emmaus was The third “Day” yes and the First/Eight “Day” of the Week, Yet You and I both also know, that the a Day begins upon the Eve, then Morning = 1 Day. The First Fruits of Resurrection occurred in the Eve of the 1st Day/8th Day, After a Sabbath, this day is also called the Eighth as according to the Promise within the Law of Reaping what One did not Sow.

Did not “Jeremiah” Lament for this or was it not even told “Samuel” the Ephraimite, under “Eli” of a Priesthood that was to be circumcised of the Heart, not just of the Flesh. We are to be a Nation of Priests, not a Tribe. Are not all whom are “First Born” of the Flesh called “His” for service, not to inherit dirt but Life – were not all whom are his to be given a “Wave Offering” What Greater are those who are given the Wave Offering of Life and receive His Inheritance!

    Jono, you may be right. Luke 24:21 may say that the events on the road to Emmaus took place on the first of the week. (there is another reading which I won’t go into here, as it pulls on a lot other threads that would also need space to discuss)

    However, Luke 24:1 must still be squared with all the other passages that give us evidence re. the crucifixion and resurrection. They all have to be true, together. The only way that happens is if the crucifixion was on Wed, and the burial just before the onset of the first day of ULB (th sundown on Wed. evening. Every other chronology that I have seen put forth requires at least one instance of twisting scripture and standing logic and arithmetic on their heads.
