FANTASTIC !!! Will get the book,” Paul & Jesus”. Coming on the heel’s of rabbi Tovia Singer’s teachings, the Father is revealing secrets of scripture. Mr. Spiritual Babies; do continue to keep your ears open, your input/questions make these teachings even more thought-provoking. Dave from Canada
Cant wait for my book to arrive. This was brilliant. Thought provoking and easy to understand. Many thanks
Shalom! Brethren I’m overwhelmed by the revelation I’m receiving from these discussion. I don’t know how much is left of the original protestant/ Pentecostal background I have inherited a lot of lies as Jer. 16:19 b says. Jono may our Father YHWH reward you and those who come on your radio to give us FOR FREE!!! this profound knowledge of the true Abrahamic faith I am sharing this truth and I know it is going to spread as the waters cover the sea
I absolutely love what you guys are doing!!!! Jono and Jason, you have the best ministry.
when he said “the new world religion of Christianity” it stopped me because that is what i felt was revealed to me a few years ago. Is this the strong delusion that Yehovah sent to test us with to see if we love His truth enough to search it out.? What Paul says seems so far from what we understand about what Yeshua actually proclaimed. Yes – what was the actual truth that Yeshua came declaring? What was the good news that Yeshua came proclaiming in Isa 61: 1-2? What was the message Yehovah gave him to tell the people? Is it only to the lost 10 tribes that were scattered in exile? That is what Yehovah has been showing me that the good news is to the scattered 10 tribes and those who will join themselves to Yehovah that it’s time to come back into covenant and that He is wooooing us (Hosea) to come back to HIM.. So many questions that only Yehovah can answer? Yehovah please give your people eyes that see, ears that hear and hearts that hunger to know and understand your truth and your truth only.
An excellent presentation of Dr. Tabor’s book which I have read and am using in a study with a group of seniors in our local United Church of Canada. Do I agree with all that is proposed? Not necessarily, but without a doubt, the book is enlightening. I am now waiting to compare it with another book recently published book on Paul by Prof. N.T. Wright, who no doubt will differ from Dr. Tabor’s position.
Since we only have a few letters of Paul, and we do not know the context surrounding the letters and the readers, it is hard to say Paul is preaching against the TORAH.
Paul is saying that we are grafted into Israel and we are counted righteous because of faith in YHWH, rather than by keeping the commandments. We are to keep the commandments to be holy (separate) but our salvation is by faith. simple
The Torah is never spoken of as a “yoke”. Paul was a Torah scholar……so he is not speaking of the Torah as a “yoke” either. The “yoke” is the doctrines, law, traditions of men. Even the circumcision customs of Moses is just a way to describe this body of additional laws added to the Torah. That is the reason Paul does not want someone circumcised……if they think an act will gain salvation. But he goes on to tell the gentiles to keep 4 laws, 3 of which have to do with clean/unclean (food) and the 4th is sexual purity. Why? Because these laws have to do with the temple where YHVH dwells or better said, where He will not dwell if those things are not immediately repented of.
We have to be very careful before we assume Paul is in opposition. I don’t believe he is. I believe he is being misunderstood like the scenario above. If Paul speaks of the law as a negative thing, then he is NOT talking about Torah, but Talmud.
To the christians:
Jesus failed to fulfill any of the Authentic messianic prophecies, in this regard who gives a hood what the new testament talks about. First of all, get cleared up with jesus and then decide as to whether to believe in pauls teaching. There is no one decent theologian today to say that jesus fulfilled the actual messianic prophecies which the prophets foretold.
. The actual prophecies about the BIBLICAL MESSIAH:
• The Sanhedrin will be re-established (Isaiah 1:26)
• Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance. (Isaiah 2:4)
• The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17)
• He will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:8-10)
• The Moshiach will be a man of this world, an observant Jew with “fear of God” (Isaiah 11:2)
• In other words – this must all be accomplished in a human lifetime.
• Evil and tyranny will not be able to stand before his leadership (Isaiah 11:4)
• Knowledge of God will fill the world (Isaiah 11:9)
• He will include and attract people from all cultures and nations (Isaiah 11:10)
• All Israelites will be returned to their homeland (Isaiah 11:12)
• Death will be swallowed up forever (Isaiah 25:8)
• There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease (Isaiah 25:8)
• All of the dead will rise again (Isaiah 26:19)
• The Jewish people will experience eternal joy and gladness (Isaiah 51:11)
• He will be a messenger of peace (Isaiah 52:7)
• Nations will end up recognizing the wrongs they did to Israel (Isaiah 52:13-53:5)
• The peoples of the world will turn to the Jews for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23)
• The ruined cities of Israel will be restored (Ezekiel 16:55)
• Weapons of war will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9)
• The Temple will be rebuilt (Ezekiel 40) resuming many of the suspended mitzvot
• He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9)
• Jews will know the Torah without Study (Jeremiah 31:33)
• He will give you all the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4)
• He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful (Isaiah 51:3, Amos 9:13-15, Ezekiel 36:29-30, Isaiah 11:6-9).
No matter what miracles you perform under the sun, even raising the whole graveyard, doesnt mean he is the messiah. jews, christians, mormons, hindus (all perform miracles) so how can you claims yours is true and rest are false ? You don’t accept the premise before proving it”.
NOTE: NONE OF THE ABOVE WAS EVER FULFILLED BY JESUS.
after reading the above and you still insist on believing in jesus or paul, you better have a very good excuse when god is asking you the same question during judgement
