The first five books of the Bible are known as the Torah of Moses. According to tradition, they are believed to be the work of a single, ancient author – Moses. Biblical scholarship denies the fundamentalist claims of Mosaic authorship of the Pentateuch, proposing instead that the five books reflect multiple hands over a long history of composition and transmission. Do these sacred scriptures provide the answers? What do they say Moses wrote? Can we discern the hand of Moses within the Torah? Can we find THE Torah within OUR Torah?
