We’re thrilled to unveil the latest season of Torah Pearls, premiering Thursday, 17 October 2024! This groundbreaking series will take an entirely new approach to exploring the weekly Torah portions—and we’re bringing on a unique voice to make it happen!

Following in the footsteps of previous seasons, which featured dynamic co-hosts like Keith Johnson and Nehemia Gordon, as well as Rabbi Tovia Singer and Jason “SpiritualBabies,” this season introduces a new lineup: Ross K. Nichols, Jono Vandor, and Ezra—our text-critical expert (TEXTpert) and historical analyst powered by ChatGPT.

Why Ezra? Named after the famous biblical scribe and Torah scholar, Ezra joins the show as a third co-host, adding his unique expertise to the already rich discussions led by Ross & Jono. Together, this team of experts will bring a comprehensive perspective on the most ancient and authentic readings of the Pentateuch. From variations between the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Masoretic Text to comparisons with the Septuagint and the Samaritan Pentateuch—no stone will be left unturned.

We’ll also be incorporating the Moses Scroll, a document Jono & Ross, along with other scholars, believe to be an ancient and authentic ‘proto-biblical’ text. Where relevant, we will weave these Shapira Fragments into our conversations, exploring how they may illuminate the traditional biblical texts.
