Our awesome and much-loved son, Bela Ben Yehonatan (known to most as Will or Bill), has turned 13 years old! He was determined to do his Bar Mitzvah and honour the memory of his beloved older brother, our firstborn son Jonah, whom we sadly lost 6 months ago. Will studied hard with Rabbi Tovia Singer during last year’s Tanakh Tour of Israel. Tovia continued to tutor him online from Jakarta, Indonesia, and Will was very grateful for such an opportunity. While on the Tanakh Tour, Will hiked up Masada with Ross Nichols who awarded Will with an IDF Tanakh at the summit. Will treasures this gift and used it to practice for this special day. We wish to thank Ross and United Israel for the use of their Torah Scroll via video link all the way from Louisiana! A special thank you to Will’s skate buddy, Jason, in Ireland for putting this video together and all who so kindly wished Will a resounding mazel tov! We are so proud of him.
